Working Capital Training Sessions Starting Soon
We've been running these workshops for companies across Gauteng since 2019. What started as a request from a client who needed their finance team to understand cash flow better has turned into something we're genuinely proud of.
These aren't theoretical sessions. We build them around real scenarios from South African businesses — the kind of working capital challenges that keep finance managers up at night. Last year, attendees from 23 different companies joined us. This year we're expanding to accommodate more teams.
The July and September 2025 sessions are scheduled. Registration opens in March, but we wanted to share what's coming so you can plan around your team's availability.
Scheduled Training Programs
We run two main programs throughout the year. Each one tackles working capital from a different angle, but both focus on practical application you can use immediately.

This three-day intensive covers the basics of working capital management with a focus on cash conversion cycles. We spend most of the time working through actual company scenarios.
- Daily sessions from 09:00 to 16:30 at our Benoni location
- Groups capped at 18 participants to maintain quality interaction
- Includes workbook materials and analysis templates
- Lunch and refreshments provided
Advanced Working Capital Strategy
Built for finance professionals who already handle working capital analysis. We dig into optimization techniques and forecasting methods that work in volatile markets.
- Three full days with extended case study work
- Limited to 14 participants for deeper discussion
- Bring your own company data for personalized review
- Certificate of completion included
Industry-Specific Workshop: Manufacturing
A focused two-day session addressing inventory management and supplier payment cycles unique to manufacturing operations. We developed this after repeated requests from production companies.
- Shorter format suitable for operational managers
- Real manufacturing case studies from local companies
- Maximum 12 participants for interactive format
- Practical tools you can implement immediately
Working Capital for Non-Financial Managers
Designed for operations, sales, and procurement teams who need to understand how their decisions affect company cash flow. No finance background required.

How These Programs Build On Each Other
Start With Fundamentals
Most attendees begin with our Cash Flow Fundamentals program. It establishes the baseline understanding of working capital components and why they matter. You'll work through receivables, payables, and inventory as interconnected parts of your cash system rather than isolated metrics.
Apply To Your Context
After completing fundamentals, many participants attend an industry-specific workshop. These sessions address the particular challenges in your sector. Manufacturing companies face different working capital issues than service businesses. We tailor the content accordingly.
Advance Your Strategy
The Advanced Working Capital Strategy program makes sense once you've implemented basics at your company. We focus on forecasting, optimization, and handling complex scenarios. Participants typically join this 8-12 months after their first program.
Expand Team Knowledge
Companies often send non-financial staff to our specialized program after getting their finance team trained. When operations and sales teams understand working capital implications, decision-making improves across the board. It's optional but consistently valuable.

Specialist in working capital management
Who Leads These Sessions
Thandeka runs most of our training programs. She spent twelve years in corporate finance roles before joining Web42 Orbit in 2021. Her background includes working capital management for a JSE-listed manufacturing group and consulting work with mid-sized companies across various sectors.
What makes her effective as an instructor is her experience dealing with the messy reality of cash management in South African businesses. She's worked through supplier payment negotiations during cash crunches, managed inventory optimization projects, and helped companies navigate the working capital strain that comes with growth.
"I don't teach theory divorced from reality. Every technique we cover in these programs is something I've either used myself or seen work in actual companies. When participants bring their specific challenges to the sessions, we work through them together using practical approaches."
For the industry-specific manufacturing workshop, we bring in Mpho Ledwaba, who has operational finance experience in production environments. He understands the inventory challenges and supplier dynamics that manufacturing companies face.
Both instructors maintain small group sizes intentionally. When you have 25 people in a room, it becomes a lecture. With 12-18 participants, we can have actual discussions about real problems and work through solutions that fit different business contexts.
Registration Opens March 2025
We'll begin accepting registrations on 3 March 2025. Spots fill relatively quickly for the July programs since companies prefer mid-year training schedules.
